When an R6 setup feels different after an update, start with a comparison rather than a full reset. This checklist helps you identify whether the change belongs to the game, your input settings or the configuration you loaded.

Read the relevant game update notes

Siege updates can include weapon adjustments as well as fixes. For example, Ubisoft’s Y11S2.1 patch notes, dated June 23, 2026, describe a change to the SC3000K’s horizontal recoil. That is a specific historical example, not a statement about every weapon or the latest patch.

Find the notes for the version you actually installed. Check whether the item you use is mentioned, and separate a documented balance change from a local settings problem.

Record versions before troubleshooting

Write down the game version, the Eviltechs software version and the name of the configuration currently selected. Keep the previous configuration file if you have one. A date and a screenshot of the relevant settings are often more informative than “it stopped working after the update.”

Compare the input settings

  • Confirm that the intended mouse DPI profile is still selected.
  • Compare horizontal, vertical and ADS sensitivity with your notes.
  • Check the display resolution and field of view you used for the baseline.
  • Review shortcuts for conflicts with the game or another active application.

Ubisoft documents the ADS menu in its sensitivity support article. Our DPI and ADS guide provides a compact checklist of values to record.

Inspect the loaded profile

Check the visible configuration values after loading a profile. Do not assume that a familiar filename proves the intended settings are active. Keep backups before resetting or replacing files, and use a separate test profile when investigating a change.

If a setting cannot be restored, follow the configuration guide to organize your baseline and record the exact point where the process differs from what you expected.

Send support a reproducible description

Include the affected screen, the action you took, what you expected and what happened instead. Add the game and software versions and a screenshot with personal information hidden. Never post your password or full license key in a public support conversation.

A concise sequence of steps helps support investigate the same issue without asking you to repeat your entire setup history.
